School Bullying

I feel that it is the school's responsibility to deal with all bullying issues.  It is of the upmost importance that all children feel safe at school in order to succeed.  The classrooms and school need strict policies on bullying with zero tolerance.  I know that all students will not see eye to eye on all things but bullying is an unacceptable form dealing with issues.  Teachers need to hold all students to high expectations and provide a safe environment for ALL students.  Solving the bullying problem in schools is the responsibility of ALL adults in the building.  Students need to be taught good character and morals and that any form of bullying is wrong.

Other social issues that schools are responsible for with students are drug and alcohol abuse, gangs, violence, and pregnancy.  The school should deal with these issues along with the community and parents to bring forth student awareness and positive outlook instead of bullying.  Schools should also implement programs such as Safe School Ambassadors to provide students the strength and courage to stand up against bullying.
